THE HOPE PROJECT
The HOPE Project is an initiative of Lipa City Jail spearheaded by Warden ARIZ WILLIAMERE A. VILLAESTER Ph.D, along with the Rotary Club Tagaytay City. This is a profitable livelihood program launched to provide financial assistance to DESERVING and QUALIFIED Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) who will be reintegrated subsequently in the society.
Help One PDL Everyday (HOPE)
A word which enfolds a power to ignite the flame of resilience within the hearts of those confined, a beacon illuminating the path towards redemption and a testament to the unwavering spirit of humanity. HOPE (Help One PDL Everyday (Help One PDL Everyday) It is a catalyst for change, fostering compassion and understanding, and paving the way for a brighter future where every individual, regardless of their past, is given an opportunity to thrive.
How it works?
This project showcases incredible and far – fetching artworks – paintings, wood crafts, bags, shoes, and other handmade products made by the Lipa City Jail PDLs which can also be customized upon your request. Part of the proceeds from the sold livelihood products will aid the deserving and qualified PDL on their payment of fine/ball for them to be released.

JCI LIPA & BJMP PARTNERSHIP
JCI Lipa and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) formalized their partnership on December 7, 2024 through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to collaborate on programs for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), including an exclusive online gallery hosted on Shop by JCI LIPA Website to showcase and sell PDL-made products and artworks.
This partnership represents a significant step towards fostering a more humane and supportive environment for PDLs. Recognizing the multifaceted challenges faced by inmates, this collaboration goes beyond superficial assistance, delving into the emotional, psychological, and social dimensions of their well-being. Built upon a foundation of mutual respect, this partnership leverages the unique strengths and expertise of both organizations, creating a synergy that promises to bring about positive change.
